Prior to 2018 Nyle was involved in opening seven distinctly different and successful restaurant concepts across Canada and the United States. Included among these were Coney Island Frozen Custard, The American Cheesesteak Co, Joey, Red Robin, Joey Lake Union, and Scotty Browns in Washington State. Most recently Nyle was the executive chef who developed, rebranded and reopened the Kingfisher Resort’s Aqua Bistro & Wine Bar and the Ocean7 fine dining restaurant. Nyle’s career as a chef has taken him from British Columbia Canada to Tallinn, Estonia and as the executive chef on a 600 room ocean going vessel that took him from Northern British Columbia to the Panama Canal in Central America.
An accomplished Canadian Red Seal Chef and past member of the Canadian Culinary Federation of Chefs and Cooks and the British Columbia Chefs’ Association, Nyle is an avid motorcyclist, world traveler and patio gardener. In 2016 Nyle made his new culinary home in Courtenay on Vancouver Island, embracing the island lifestyle and the easy connection to local farmers, fisherman, foragers and food producers.
